Brake testing unit BPG Gz 3 / Rz 3

Description

brake testing unit BPG Gz 3

The brake testing unit BPG Gz 3 is used to test the brakes on freight trains during train formation without the need of a locomotive.

Thanks to the brake testing unit BPG Gz 3 the vehicle inspector can carry out the brake test on the freight wagons easy, safe and reliably. The results are stored in a secured cloud and can be accessed by the operating staff via a dashboard.

To save time and resources we also offer a browser based remote control for which you do not need a special software or app.

The brake testing unit is very compact and can be installed on a signal foundation or on a temporary foundation without the need of deep civil engineering. It can be bought or rented.

Additionally we offer the brake testing unit BPG Rz 3 for brake checking on passenger coaches.

  • Both compressed air lines of a passenger train can be filled simultaneously
  • Functions: filling of the main air line up to 5,0 bar, main air tank line up to 9,0 bar
  • A leak test is carried out on both compressed air lines (criterion 0,3 bar/min)

Advantages:

  • Only 100 mm deep, it fits into narrow spaces between tracks
  • Guideline: constructed after „Technikheft Bremsprobegeräte - TH-BPG-V2.1-2021“ from DB Netz AG
  • DB-License: Registered by DB Netz AG in Germany since 01.04.2021
  • The brake testing device serves to fill up, check and keep pressure maintenance off all in UIC registered brakes of freight or passenger trains.
  • Functions: filling of the main air line up to 5,0 bar, leak check max. pressure drop 0,5 bar/min, adjust main air line with 5,3 bar, put on brake 4,2 bar, release brake 5,0 bar and pressure hold 5,0 bar
  • Thanks to the BPG, no locomotive is necessary for the brake test.
  • Buy, rent or simply exchange old brake testing units

DAC-Ready:

The adapter from IP RailEquipment also enables efficient brake tests on the digital automatic coupling (DAC) without providing a locomotive or additional personnel.

This enables resource-saving maintenance, troubleshooting and discarding of broken wagons even before the locomotive picks up the wagon train.

The adapter takes power, data and compressed air from the DAC and forwards them to the IP brake testing unit Gz 3. The brake test protocols are automatically and securely stored in the dashboard where they can be accessed and archived from any internet-enabled device without any additional app or software.

The adapter is relatively handy with dimensions of approx. 750 x 230 x 230 mm (WxHxD) and a weight of 9 kg.

The DAC-ready adapter is suitable for all currently available models of the digital automatic coupling.
