Test benches

Description

Automatic coupling test bench

The unit is used to assemble and inspect close and automatic couplings as well as test coupling processes. The assembly and testing process includes the following steps:

  • Manual pre-assembly of the semi-permanent coupling
  • Fitting of 2-3 Durel buffer springs
  • Activation of the coupling motion (pressing force: 400 kN) using the main control panel
  • Full assembly of the semi-permanent coupling (including pipe connection)
  • 100% final inspection (manual checking of various coupling dimensions)
  • Check for leaks in the pneumatic system
  • Electrical testing of the coupling contacts
  • Manual rotation of the half coupling on the sliding carriage by 90° around the longitudinal coupling axis

Pantograph test bench

The pantograph test bench is used for the final inspection of overhauled pantographs. Operating pressure, final positions and force-travel diagram are recorded during up/down movements and are automatically compared with the target values. It has a test program management for different pantographs.
