The Brake testing unit “BPG Gz3” developed by IP RailEquipment enables brake testing of freight trains without a locomotive – safely, efficiently and in a standardized manner. The wagon inspector can carry out the entire braking process in a simple, reproducible and digitally documented manner.

All measurement and test data is automatically stored in the cloud and is available to operating personnel at any time via a clear dashboard.

The browser-based remote control makes the device convenient and time-saving to operate – without additional software, apps or hardware.

Thanks to its compact design, the Brake testing unit “BPG Gz 3” can be used flexibly – either on a standard or signal foundation or on a temporary foundation without complex civil engineering work.

The brake test unit can be purchased or rented and is ideal for temporary or permanent locations.

The brake testing unit is used to fill, check and maintain the pressure of all freight and passenger train brakes approved in the UIC area. The use of the brake test unit means that no locomotive is required for the brake test.
It is installed on a standard small signal foundation or mobile on a temporary foundation.
Functions: Fill main line to 5.0 bar, check main line tightness max. pressure drop 0.5 bar/min, adjust main line to 5.3 bar, apply brake 4.2 bar, release brake 5.0 bar and maintain pressure 5.0 bar

Browser-based radio remote control – simple, secure and without additional hardware

The browser-based remote control enables convenient operation of the Brake testing unit “BPG Gz3” via an intuitive, web-based user interface.

After each successful brake test, the brake test report is automatically generated, saved and archived. A personalized dashboard displays all relevant system and device statuses in real time – for a quick and transparent overview.

All data is stored exclusively on secure servers in Germany. Access protection, user management and encrypted connections ensure maximum IT security.

Unlike other systems, the remote control does not require any additional hardware, apps or license costs – it runs directly in the browser on any device.
